Doctor Who Confidential: Planet of the Dead Review
Doctor Who, Planet of the Dead was an extremely elaborate episode. It had a fleet of police cars chasing a bus, that said bus ending up on an alien dessert world and also the comic genius of Lee Evans. To the Doctor who confidential was going to be very interesting. For the car chase the production crue managed to shut of a large proportion of an actual tunnel. This coincided with local government works so the entire road was closed.
The Bus in the dessert, that was an actual dessert and a real double Decker bus in Dubai. The bus was shipped by sea and it suffered some heavy damage. This damage was written into the story line as the bus suffered damage while going through the worm hole. Also, in the dessert the weather conditions proved difficult for the production team. But the weather brightened up and they could finish all the filming in time.
A special treat was the inclusion of ‘Malcolm’ played by Lee Evans. Lee Evans is without a doubt a comic genius. He portrayed the character rather well and there are several hilarious clips of him entertaining the crue…
